From Doodles to Art: How It All Began
Published July 2026
There was never a grand plan to become an artist.
For years, I doodled in the margins of legal pads during meetings, while talking on the phone, or anytime I had a pen in my hand. Little swirls became flowers. Simple lines turned into patterns. Before I knew it, an entire page was filled with tiny details that seemed to appear almost by themselves.
Drawing became my way of slowing down. It allowed my mind to wander while my hands stayed busy.
Over time those simple doodles became something much more. Friends encouraged me to frame them. Family members asked if they could have one. Before long I found myself experimenting with color, canvas, ceramics, furniture, and almost anything that could become a work of art.
Today every piece I create begins exactly the same way—with a single line.
I never know exactly where that first line will lead.
Sometimes it becomes a whimsical village filled with tiny houses and hidden surprises. Other times it grows into abstract patterns bursting with color or a sun filled with intricate designs. Every drawing takes on a personality of its own.
That sense of discovery is my favorite part of creating.
Art has taught me that you don’t always need a perfect plan. Sometimes the most beautiful things begin with curiosity, patience, and the willingness to let your imagination wander.
I hope my artwork encourages others to pick up a pen, create without fear, and simply enjoy the process.
After all, every masterpiece begins with one small line.
Thank you for visiting my little creative corner.
I hope you’ll stop by often to see what’s new.
